Today I'd like to show you a new book by Kristin Omdahl called "Motif Magic."
Kristin's new book has over 17 gorgeous patterns for knit and crochet shawls,
cowls, and bags. Kristin is the author of 14 best-selling knitting and crochet
books and also has a wonderful YouTube channel called Kristin Omdahl. As soon
as I saw Kristin's Delma cowl, I. Immediately fell in love so I had to
make one for myself.

These projects all start off with the motif or design
element like a fancy square or circle that you easily join as you go to form
the larger item like a shawl. You connect them by knitting or crocheting together
as you work instead of sewing them at the end. The nice thing about the motifs
is they are easy to remember so once you make two or three of them it's very easy
to construct the rest of the pattern. Kristin's book explains everything in
full detail.

She has beautiful color photos, easy-to-see large diagrams and
